Reduction of Tick Size for 2 Year Treasury Notes Futures

In Q4 2018, pending regulatory approval, the minimum tick size for the CME Mercantile Exchange Inc. (CME) 2 Year Treasury Notes futures, future spreads and inter-commodity spreads will be reduced from 1/4 of 1/32 (0.0078125) to 1/8 of 1/32 (0.00390625).

In order to support trading at 1/8 of 1/32, the decimal price precision for CME Globex and streamlined blocks SBE market data will be increased from 7 up to 9 decimals.

Closure of Bursa Malaysia in Conjunction with the Special Public Holidays

Bursa Malaysia Berhad and its subsidiaries will be closed on Thursday, 10 May 2018 and Friday, 11 May 2018, in conjunction with the special public holidays as announced by Chief Secretary to the Government of Malaysia, Tan Sri Dr Ali Hamsa.

Bursa Malaysia and its subsidiaries will resume operations on Monday, 14 May 2018.

Cancel GTC/GTD Orders for NYMEX Palladium Futures by Friday, 4 May

Please note that with effect from Monday, 7 May 2018, the minimum price increment for NYMEX Palladium Futures contract will be changed from $0.05 to $0.10 USD/oz.
 
To facilitate the change, customers are required to cancel all Good ‘Till Cancel (GTC) and Good ‘Till Date (GTD) orders for the contract after the close on Friday, 4 May 2018.

All trades conducted during this period will be considered as T+1 trades and settled on Monday, 2 April 2018.

Change To US Exchange Trading Hours 2018

Due to the start of Daylight Saving Time in the U.S on 12 March 2018, the trading hours for US Exchanges will be brought forward by 1 hour.

Please refer to the respective exchange website for the updated trading hours.

Changes to Bursa’s FCPO Contract with effect from 26 February 2018

With effect from Monday, 26 February 2018, Bursa Malaysia Derivatives Berhad will be revising the contract specifications of the FCPO contract. The revisions will include amendments to the trading hours, tenure of contract months and position limits.

Summary of key changes:

  • Trading hours for the second session will start at 2.30pm (pre-opening to begin at 2pm)
  • Contract months offered will be up to 36 months
  • The position limit will be increased (e.g. the spot month contract will hold up to 1500 lots as compared to the previous limit of 800).
